“I took the non-traditional route to medical school, but being a physician is the only career I imagined. I was born in raised in San Diego, CA before moving to Oregon for my undergraduate degree. After graduation, I moved back to San Diego where I was fortunate to participate in research at the Shiley Eye Institute at the University of California San Diego, as well as instructing STEM and robotics to intercity youth. Medical school has such a diverse group of students with so many different paths there. I would love to help guide any students on their path to medicine.”
