“Hello! My name is Angela Gallardo and I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. I moved to San Antonio for medical school in 2019 and I have truly enjoyed the vibrant community here. This past school year at UIW, I have served as president of our pediatric interest group and secretary for our student chapter of the Catholic Medical Association. I was also invited to serve as the UIW Wellness/MED liaison for The Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents (COSGP). In this role, I provided our learning community with information on the mental health and wellness initiatives created by the COSP. When not serving in these roles, I enjoy participating in other organizations on campus such as the family medicine and OMT interest groups, outreach medicine, and MIND (mentality initiative to nurture doctors).”
